An Automation Technician position is available with Storm Search. This is a Direct Hire job opportunity offering competitive pay, 401K match, and an excellent benefits package. It is onsite in the Little Rock Metropolitan area.

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support manufacturing operations through maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated systems including Allen Bradley PLCs and industrial robots. This is a hands-on role focused on equipment reliability and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated equipment including PLCs, HMIs, and robotics (e.g., Fanuc, ABB).
• Modify PLC and robot programs to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on control systems.
• Support equipment installations, commissioning, and startups.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and backups of programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and industrial robots in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in PLC logic, ladder diagrams, and HMI systems.
• Familiarity with servos, sensors, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable in industrial environments with noise, heat, and machinery.
