Product Data Specialist

AIM or MISSION

The AIM of the Product Data Specialist is to create and update configurator to ensure bill of material accuracy, create and maintain production CAD files, and manage the engineering change workflow. Additionally, this position will set up and maintain internally manufactured components in the MRP/ERP system. The product data specialist will work directly with the product development and production teams to bring new products to realization and to improve or maintain existing products.

• Set-up new manufactured part numbers.
• Quote the manufacturing costs of new products.
• Verify the manufacturing costs of existing products.
• Input manufactured data into the MRP/ERP system.
• Complete product costing exercises.
• Complete time studies and create manufacturing standards for processes.
• Complete and update manufacturing drawings using 2-D and 3-D CAD.
• Manage the engineering change workflow. Draft engineering change notices (ECN) from requests (ECR) with proper documentation and ensure information is communicated to all applicable parties.
• Update records and control documentation.
• Assist in compiling information and drafting work instructions, training materials, compliance documents, and other documentation.

• Adept with Microsoft Office software suite, emphasis on advanced Excel
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software
• Willingness to learn and openness to new ideas
• Proficient in either Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) Systems
• Proficient in Engineering Change workflow management
