Overview

Be Pro Be Proud’s Brand & Outreach Director is a mission-critical role responsible for the unified success of our brand's strategy and its execution in the market. This leadership position requires a powerful combination of high-level brand building and on-the-ground outreach fulfillment. We are seeking a decisive self-starter with a strong bias for action, who excels at leading independent initiatives. The ideal candidate must have a proven background in marketing and outreach fulfillment, with a heavy emphasis on building brand strategies as much as fulfillment.

Success in this role hinges on exceptional problem-solving abilities to translate strategic insights into measurable brand growth, positive organization perception, and sustainable growth.

Be Pro Be Proud is headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a full-time, in-office leadership position and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Be Pro Be Proud is a national nonprofit organization. Its vision is to change student, parent, and educator perceptions of technical professions in the construction, forestry, manufacturing, transportation, utilities and related industry sectors. The organization launches conversations about technical professions across classrooms, athletic fields, events, and homes across America.

Key Responsibilities

I. Strategic Brand Leadership (Emphasis on Strategy)

This pillar focuses on defining who we are and why we matter, ensuring the brand foundation drives all outreach efforts.

  • Brand Strategy Development: Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive brand strategies, guidelines, and positioning that align with overall business objectives and drive long-term value.
  • Product Development: Contribute strategically to defining and evolving core Be Pro Be Proud products (mobile workshops, draft days, education materials, pathways development), oversee the development of outreach platforms, and ensure executions reinforce the brand identity.
  • Brand Consistency: Act as the ultimate steward of the brand, ensuring the message, voice, and visual elements are consistent across all internal and external communication channels.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: Drive identification of market challenges or brand perception gaps and develop data-backed solutions to advance brand and initiatives.

II. Outreach Execution and Fulfillment

This pillar translates brand strategy into measurable market actions.

  • Marketing Campaign Management: Oversee creation and execution of advertising, social media, public relations, and direct communication campaigns that reinforce the brand strategy.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to understand stakeholder needs, monitor trends, and analyze competitors to inform strategy.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define and analyze KPIs such as brand awareness, engagements, and conversions to evaluate branding and outreach success.
  • Enrich Content and Programs: Work with COO and industry stakeholders to generate profession and pathway content and position it accessibly to fill knowledge gaps.

Cross-functional collaboration and proactive leadership are essential; collaborate with Operations, State Contacts, Development, and external vendors to ensure coordination and brand consistency.
