Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse
An IR Nurse is a highly specialized registered nurse (RN) who plays a critical role in the interventional radiology team. The team performs minimally invasive image‑guided procedures to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
Essentially, an IR Nurse is the perioperative nurse of the interventional radiology suite. They combine the acute care skills of an emergency or critical care nurse with the technical knowledge of imaging and procedures.
Job Summary and Responsibilities— Provide perioperative nursing care during image‑guided procedures in the IR suite.
— Monitor patient status and support the interventional radiology team in procedures.
— Perform life‑support procedures and manage complications.
Qualifications- Current RN license that allows you to practice in our state.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or a perioperative setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Specialty certification (e.g., PCCN) preferred.
- Additional certification or licensure may be required for specialty areas.

Pay Range$32.28 – $43.58 per hour
