Tucked within the wooded hills of Central Arkansas, The Bridge Way is just moments away from the major highways that unite Arkansans throughout the state. Founded in 1983 and accredited by The Joint Commission, our quiet campus has retained much of the cozy charm and character that existed then.

The Bridge Way is seeking a talented Registered Nurse to work for a TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT (duration is 14 weeks). This position is a POSITION.

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, adults and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process.

Duties include:

assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.

NOTE:

Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible for this position.

Job Requirements:

  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Arkansas.
  • Current CPR/BLS and CPI certifications (offered onsite).
  • Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+.
  • HOURS/SCHEDLE:
    This is a TEMPORARY 14-WEEK ASSIGNMENT. The first two weeks will be orientation. Then work (3) 12-hour shifts per week for a total of 12 weeks. Day shifts 6:30a-7p. Night shift is 6:30p-7a.
