RN Part Time – Main PACU – Mid‑Day Lunch Relief

Type of Position: Clinical Staff – Nursing (Regular, Day Shift)

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in the Main PACU, coordinating treatment, triaging patients, and collaborating with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. The RN will develop and implement individualized health plans, deliver patient education, and support evidence‑based practices.

• Collect and document assessment data from patients per UAMS standard.
• Develop patient’s Plan of Care per department/unit standards.
• Evaluate progress toward desired outcomes.
• Administer medication following department/unit standards and Nurse Practice Act.
• Verify and evaluate care to ensure consistency with patient‑centered care principles, practice standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the integration of current evidence into nursing practices.
• Promote an environment conducive to positive educational experience for all students and staff.
• Provide effective patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate and communicate with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders.
• Document care appropriately in the medical record.
• Report variances in care/systems/processes through the appropriate means; participate in recruitment/retention of staff.
• Facilitate development and implementation of evidence‑based nursing practice standards in compliance with ANA standards.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate’s Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor’s in Nursing, or Master’s in Nursing.
• Valid RN License.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nursing experience.

• ER or ICU experience.

Commensurate with education and experience.

• License or Certificate.
