Summary of

Job Duties

The Research Associate II is a shared resource for the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and will work with faculty and research staff to initiate Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions for human subjects research; complete continuing reviews; submit protocol modifications including staff changes; and close out protocols.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology, health science, or related field plus five (5) years of research experience OR
  • Master's degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology, health science, or related field plus three (3) years of research experience required.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the collection, processing, storage and analysis of grant and trial related items.
  • Processes and analyzes data and conducts clinical tasks as dictated by project protocols.
  • Follows specific protocols and maintains documentation and accurate records of all analysis and activities.
  • Maintains logs on all equipment and monitoring supply and reagent inventory.
  • Assists with the development of SOPs for research related processing and analysis.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
