Carpenter/Handyman
Join Redstone Construction Group, Inc. — a leading construction company in Little Rock, AR. We’re looking for a jack‑of‑all‑trades to perform building maintenance, carpentry, and plumbing tasks.
• Pay: $19.00/hr – $23.00/hr (DOE)
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance around the building (e.g., structural repairs, window and door repair, masonry).
- Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage.
- Address plumbing leaks, clogs, and drainage issues.
- Handle basic carpentry repairs and upgrades.
- Work on damaged electrical wiring where shortages or severed wires occur.
- Maintain HVAC equipment to ensure proper climate control.
- Apply preventative measures such as sealants on flat roofs.
- Fix potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
- Paint building surfaces when paint fades or chips.
- Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and changing air filters.
- Ability to perform strenuous tasks with hands.
- Experience using hand tools and electrical tools.
- Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials.
- Ability to measure accurately and read specifications.
- Plumbing, carpentry, or electrical certifications preferred.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug test.
- Acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) required.
- Allowed to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Safety training and PPE required; must comply with site‑specific requirements.
- Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods with frequent bending and stooping.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Exposure to high levels of noise, grease, and dust typical of construction sites.
- Work near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Possibility of exposure to substances such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel, and ready‑mixed concrete.
