Under the supervision of the Office Manager, this position is responsible for the keying and analyzing of information to identify potential actionable information and disseminating to law enforcement and entering of source document information according to prescribed procedures and maintaining superior accuracy at an acceptable rate of speed.
Examples of Work- Collect, analyze, and interpret information from diverse sources, including law enforcement, public safety, and private sector data.
- Assess potential threats and risks based on collected intelligence, identifying patterns and trends.
- Assure accuracy of work.
- Disseminate relevant intelligence to law enforcement and other stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information sharing.
- Process sensitive documents in confidence.
- Maintain and manage databases, including relevant information and intelligence products.
Education and experience:
The educational equivalent to a diploma from an accredited high school. Experience or training in office procedures. Background in criminal justice or related field preferred.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Detail oriented. Effective communication skills. Well-developed sense of urgency and follow-through with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Working conditions:
Office environment.
A criminal background check will be required to determine suitability of employment, and failure to meet these standards may cause the applicant to be rejected or terminated from that position.
This position does not require theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge or a bachelor’s degree or higher in the field; thus, this position is not eligible for H-1B visa sponsorship.
