A well‑appointed rehabilitation centre catering an average of 50 customers daily. The role operates 52 weeks a year, 7 days a week, with shifts ranging from morning to evening. Flexibility for full time, part time or casual contracts. Additional benefits: free on‑site parking and free meals on duty.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare all food service areas for the day's business for each meal service.
- Ensure prompt service of all meals and meet company/client standards.
- Maintain preparation and presentation methods in line with company expectations.
- Prepare, set‑up, serve, clear, clean and store any food, beverage or equipment required for daily service.
- Adhere to good hygiene and safety practices when preparing food for sale/service.
- Restock and replenish stocks and consumables during service periods, anticipating customer needs.
- Inform front‑of‑house of any food shortages and prevent delays in customer waiting.
- Complete all cleaning/hygiene duties.
- Serve customers, visitors and guests in accordance with company and client service standards.
- Dispose of rubbish/recycle appropriately.
- Assist in the preparation and placing of orders.
- Ensure kitchen operation complies with current health & safety regulations.
- Leave all kitchen areas clean at the end of each shift.
- Attend meetings and training courses as required.
- Notify the head chef of stock movements to support menu ordering.
- Attend all staff meetings as required.
- Adhere to all policies and procedural requirements, ensuring a professional and flexible approach.
- Maintain neat and clean uniform at all times.
- Present personal hygiene and appearance to the highest standard.
- Conduct food temperature checks in service areas as necessary.
- Carry out reasonable requests from management.
- Provide cover for other staff during absences.
- Be conscientious of health & safety and report hazards to the Head Chef or Location Manager.
- Team working abilities, active listening, initiative, immaculate personal presentation.
- Adaptable, flexible, reliable, honest, and attentive customer service.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take responsibility.
- Capability to handle moderate heavy lifting, carrying and pushing.
- Food hygiene certificate preferred.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Previous experience in a customer‑facing or food preparation environment preferred.
