• Understand and follow quality processes including but not limited to the oven operation as specified on the Mix Sheet.
• Set up heater temperature on the Control Panel per the Mix Sheet specification.
• Prepare Ink Coder with the correct information per the Mix Sheet and double check; notify the Knifer when ready.
• Take samples from products, cut and check weights on appropriate scales, record weights, oven temperature and oven speed on the Record of Sample Taken Sheet. Advise by radio if any knife adjustments are needed.
• Apply even coat talc powder to the surface of most products and inspect the material; mark defects with tape for the slitters.
• Ensure oven temperature and product weights are within the Mix Sheet ranges.
• Keep the Oven Maintenance Check List up to date. Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly checks with sign-off and dating.
• Follow all safety guidelines and keep equipment and work areas neat and clean.
• Perform maintenance checks as required.

• Able to perform proper set-up of equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with some electrical skills.
• Understanding of company policy and procedures.

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Able to crawl into tight spaces regularly.
