Skating Instructor – Learn to Skate and/or Specialty
Job Description
Part‑time skating instructor responsible for delivering specialty skating in Learn to Skate classes. Instructs, evaluates skill level and progress of participants, keeps accurate attendance records, develops lesson plans and maintains a safe, inclusive class environment.

Compensation $20.85 – $29.25 per hour.
Ideal Candidate- Knowledge of equipment, facilities, operations and techniques used to teach ice skating lessons.
- Familiarity with USFS Moves in the Field, Freestyle, Ice Dance, and Pairs guidelines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a safe class environment for all students.
- Works collaboratively with employees and the public, exercising responsible judgment as per PSA by‑laws.
- 18+ years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of previous experience providing ice skate instruction.
- Current membership in PSA and USFS and/or ISI.
- Current CPR/AED & First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
- Concussion recognition training required prior to employment and must be renewed annually.
- Must be 18+ years old with high school diploma or equivalent.
- One year previous experience providing ice skate instruction.
- Current PSA, USFS and/or ISI membership.
- Must have passed the Junior Freestyle test or higher; or the equivalent ISU test.
- After two years must successfully obtain a PSA rating in their respective field.
- Current AED/CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
- Concussion recognition training required prior to employment and renewed annually.
