Special Education Teacher | Littleton, Colorado

This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) is ideal for a dedicated Special Education Teacher committed to individualized learning and student success. The assignment starts as soon as possible and concludes on 5/21, offering a rewarding chance to positively impact students in an elementary school setting.

• Valid Colorado CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (required before start; no substitute or temporary licenses considered)
• Demonstrated classroom experience teaching students with a range of exceptional needs
• Deep knowledge of Specially Designed Instruction and strategies tailored to students on alternative standards
• Proven understanding of the IEP process, including development, progress monitoring, and compliance
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills to work closely with fellow educators, service providers, and families

• Deliver effective instruction in a center-based classroom, adapting content to meet individualized needs and alternative standards
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, participating actively in eligibility and annual review meetings
• Develop differentiated lesson plans and instructional materials that support a variety of learning styles, abilities, and goals
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment
• Partner with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
• Collect data and assess student progress toward IEP goals, adjusting instruction as necessary
