Lockheed Martin Space, Specialty Engineering, is seeking an Electrical Component Engineer Lead, Staff (Level IV) in the Contamination, Parts, Materials and Processes (CPMP) Core group. You’ll lead a team supporting several Commercial Civil Programs – Geo Xo, Dimple and LMX – in a range of projects that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. You’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to drive selection of preferred Electrical Parts and components.

Working side by side with designers, test and manufacturing engineers, you’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and innovative technology to survive in the most hostile of environments.

In this role you will:

  • Define and lead Electrical/ Electronic/ Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test.
  • Lead in the selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEE Parts.
  • Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks; prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization.
  • Participate in Electrical/ Electronic/ Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware manufacturing and testing, including technical evaluation and support of manufacturing issues/concerns.
Desired skills
  • Experience guiding the successful completion of significant projects and/or multi‑discipline team efforts by applying technical knowledge and leadership skills.
  • Documentation Engineering experience: plans, directs and coordinates preparation of documentation to balance technical, cost and schedule needs.
  • Familiar with using business tools and systems for configuration management and quality control (e.g. SAP, EPDM, PMPDB, LIMS).
  • Experience working collaboratively with customers and teammates with a customer focus.
