Job Description:We are seeking a Research Chemist Technician to join our Advanced Chemistry & Chemical Processing Group. The successful candidate will work on innovative projects involving the development of energetic systems, scale-up processes, and testing of energetic materials. This role requires a strong chemistry background, especially in organic and inorganic synthesis, and the ability to work safely with hazardous materials.
Responsibilities:- Problem-solving skills in a fast-paced team environment.
- Hands-on experience with energetic materials.
- Proficiency in standard laboratory practices.
- Creative thinking and innovation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Physical ability to sit for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work with computers.
Skills:
- Knowledge of explosive effects and chemistry.
- Experience with additive manufacturing, energetic or hazardous material synthesis, or laboratory scale-up.
- Knowledge of chemistry or chemical engineering.
- AS, BS, or MS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Ability to obtain security clearance and CO State Blasters Permit.
