About the RoleWe are seeking an RF Engineer to join our team in designing, developing, and testing Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for various aerospace and defense applications. This role will involve hands‑on testing and troubleshooting of RF systems, using a range of equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing RF circuits and systems, as well as integrating them with other EGSE components, such as digital signal processing and software‑defined radio systems.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Designing and developing RF circuits and systems, including amplifiers, filters, and antennas
- Performing hands‑on testing and troubleshooting of RF systems using a range of equipment including spectrum analyzers to measure and analyze RF signals, signal generators to generate RF signals for testing, oscilloscopes to measure and analyze RF waveforms, and network analyzers to measure and analyze RF network parameters
- Developing and implementing test procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to integrate RF systems with other EGSE components
- Designing and developing software‑defined radio (SDR) systems and interfaces, including waveform development and testing
- Troubleshooting and debugging RF system issues, using a range of tools and techniques
- Knowledge of RF circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, and components
- Experience with RF test and measurement equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and/or oscilloscopes
- Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- Experience with Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) systems and applications
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
- Experience with software‑defined radio (SDR) systems and interfaces, including waveform development and testing
- Experience with phases of product lifecycle (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, and TRR)
- Using tools such as Agilent ADS (Advanced Design System), Ansys HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator), AWR Microwave Office, or similar tool packages
- Certification and training as Certified Principal Engineer (CPE), Responsible Engineer, or equivalent
- RF and/or digital payload test measurement techniques
- Architecture,, and test of Electronically Steerable Arrays (ESA), Radar Systems, RF and/or digital payloads, Telemetry Tracking & Command (TT&C), or missile communications subsystems
- Development of Analog/Digital interfaces
- Designing active components, such as Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), hybrids, Linearized Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (LTWTAs), Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs), oscillators, frequency converters, etc.
- Experience in managing research or design projects
- EGSE Design experience
- Automation Framework experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance
