Position SummaryWe are seeking a Spacecraft Electrical Systems Integration Technician to support the assembly, integration, and test of complex satellite subsystems and payloads. This hands‑on role requires strong technical aptitude, precision workmanship, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced clean‑room environment. You will work closely with engineers and test teams to ensure all electrical and mechanical integration tasks meet stringent reliability and quality standards for spaceflight hardware.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft subsystems, including electronics modules, mechanical structures, antennas, propulsion components, and payloads
- Collaborate with Test Engineering during functional, electrical, and performance testing of integrated hardware
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and integration‑related issues with guidance from engineering teams
- Maintain detailed records of all assembly, integration, and test activities
- Adhere to strict quality control procedures and cleanroom protocols
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure all integration activities are performed in accordance with design specifications and project timelines
- Assist in the development and improvement of integration and test procedures
- Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment within the cleanroom
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in electronics assembly, electrical integration, or hardware test within a precision or high‑reliability environment
- Proficiency in electronic rework, including soldering, component replacement, reflow, and both SMT and through‑hole techniques
- Hands‑on experience building and validating wire harnesses, including crimping, terminations, dressing, shielding, and continuity testing
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with torque tools, mechanical fastening methods, and assembly practices for aerospace‑grade hardware
- Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals, grounding, power distribution, and circuit behavior
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination, manual dexterity, and fine‑motor skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repeatable, high‑quality work
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross‑functional team
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- IPC solder certifications (e.g., IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001)
- Experience with spacecraft lifting and handling procedures
- Experience working on developmental satellite systems is a strong advantage
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment
- Experience with space‑qualified components
- Experience with soldering techniques for surface‑mount devices (SMDs)
