Lockheed Martin Space is looking for an innovative and experienced Systems Engineer for Requirements and Verification to support a growing program in the SPP Mission area. This key role will involve cross‑organization relationships and collaborative problem solving, interfacing with program teams, Cross BA teams, customers, and executive leadership.
Responsibilities- Develop, analyze, and verify system level requirements, and document & manage accordingly.
- Coordinate with customers and contractors to execute verification analyses and tests.
- Organize and coordinate domain expert objective evidence creation and documentation.
- Organize and coordinate system level technical reviews.
- Support all phases of the program lifecycle (development, production, and post‑production).
- Continuously seek and maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies, design, and analysis methodologies.
- Build successful teams with internal stakeholders (Business Development and central Engineering) and external stakeholders (suppliers, mission partners, and USG laboratories).
- Ship required – Top Secret clearance required prior to start.
- Organize, motivate, and lead groups of engineering personnel, demonstrating in‑depth technical skills.
- Experience with requirements and verification, including requirement engineering, requirement management, and/or verification.
- Familiarity with MBSE concepts, including Cameo and DOORS Classic or an equivalent requirements‑based database.
- Spacecraft domain knowledge in at least one subsystem area.
- Active or current Top Secret clearance – ship required.
- Experience performing in a Systems Engineering role on a large and complex space hardware development effort.
- Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking and critical thinking skills, translating ideas into actions and results.
- Demonstrated experience with development and delivery of space subsystems and components.
- Prior experience as an LM Space CPE and/or RSE.
- Strong mission and end‑to‑end systems expertise.
- Experience applying MBSE concepts in a Systems Engineering role.
- Active or current TS/SCI clearance.
