Job Responsibilities- Oversee the development, maintenance, and issuance of detailed technical specifications and procurement packages for supplier sourced electronics hardware used in ordnance initiation, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements
- Review requirements from power, signal integrity, thermal, systems, safety, and manufacturing sources to ensure all applicable criteria are flowed into the detailed design of assigned hardware
- Coordinate with peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met
- Contribute to program success by ensuring accurate, error free, cost effective, and producible engineering designs are delivered
- Support test and validation activities by supervising the development of test plans, interpreting data, and guiding design iterations as needed
- Bachelor’s (or higher) in Electrical, Electronics, Systems, or a related engineering discipline
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., Creo, CATIA, Solid Works) and schematic capture/layout software (e.g., Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics) and GD&T drafting
- Knowledge of component selection, power electronics, signal integrity, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility for aerospace/defense applications
- Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, fast paced environment and communicate technical information to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance – must be a U.S. Citizen
- Experience overseeing ordnance initiation electronics design, including familiarity with high energy, high voltage, and high reliability environments
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‐paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and build effective relationships
- Demonstrated communication skills to articulate complex issues at appropriate levels of detail for both highly technical and non‑technical peers, management, subcontractors, and customers
- Capability to lead a team responsible for development of avionics, and experience as Certified Principal Engineer (CPE), Subject Matter Engineer, or equivalent
- Experience leading/coordinating small diverse teams in development of technical products
- Experience leading Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations to isolate and address Root Causes with Corrective Actions (RCCA)
- Demonstrated experience with design and/or analysis of PCB/PWB, Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA), and/or electronic packages
- Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure
- Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis)
- Experience on Space and/or Missile Defense Missions
- Familiarity with Initiation Safety requirements
- Active DOD Secret clearance
