This is a position within the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) hypersonic weapon system program that directly supports critical weapons fielding support for the nation. In this role you will be tasked with GN&C analysis, modelling and simulation work associated with advance hypersonic missile weapon design with a focus on navigation algorithm analysis and FSW integration.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop the high-fidelity flight simulation software used to verify mission capabilities
- Integrate, verify, and validate navigation algorithms and sensor modeling within simulation and hardware test
- Provide software integration and verification support for CPS flight test campaign
- Execute performance analysis for the weapon system
- Perform design and analysis of guidance, navigation, and control algorithms as it pertains to flight and hardware testing
Successful applicants generally have at least 1 year of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering or other related discipline emphasizing control system design and analysis. This position requires candidates be willing to work Full-time Onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Skill Requirements- Experience with analysis, test, and/or integration of navigation and guidance systems within GNC applications for aerospace or missile platforms.
- Experience with simulation and programming tools such as Matlab/Simulink, C, Fortran, Python
- To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
- Qualified applicants must possess at least a currently Active Secret security clearance to be considered.
- Selected candidates will be required to maintain a minimum level, government-issued Secret clearance for long-term employment on this program.
- GN&C background including algorithm/software development, analysis, simulation and test related to missile or spacecraft systems
- Experience with GNSS, IMU, or other navigation sensors, estimation theory, and performance analysis
- Missile trajectory simulation experience and 6
DOF analysis - Experience with C and Fortran programming languages
- Experience with Simulink and autocoded algorithm integration
- Experience in CI/CD, automated testing, configuration management and Dev Ops tools such as git, gitlab, Jenkins
- Experience with Agile processes and framework
- Experience with Software Configuration Management
- Active Secret Clearance
