Who We Are:
Lockheed Martin (LM) Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is looking for project engineering professionals to work on the Trusted Security Solutions (TSS) program to manage the development and deployment of Cross‑Domain Solution (CDS) products. This position is for a Project Engineer (PE) on the Radiant Mercury (RM) product and/or Trusted Manager (TMAN) product within the program. Radiant Mercury is the US Navy’s premier CDS product and TMAN is the Air Force premier CDS product.
LM has been the prime contractor for both products for over 20 years.

TheWork:
As a Project Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for coordinating the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of complex engineering projects within your assigned area of responsibility. This includes:
- Planning and formulating Project Management Baselines for new projects
- Responsible for active Control Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Responsible for managing the Cost, Schedule, and Technical execution of multiple contracts
- Ensuring compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
- Coordinating activities concerning technical development, scheduling of product installation, and resolving engineering design and test problems
The typical Project Engineer Staff has a Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 7 years of experience, or equivalent combined education and experience. The ideal candidate is a multifaceted professional with a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent problem‑solving skills, effective communication abilities, strong leadership and collaboration skills, adaptability, and a strong sense of professionalism and integrity.
They should align with the company’s values and culture and be able to deliver high‑quality results in a fast‑paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and managing performance metrics.
- Excellent customer‑relationship management skills, including outreach and communications experience.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
- Strong understanding of scheduling and planning to meet contractual milestones and deliverables.
- Advanced understanding and wide application of project management principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Open Plan software to create and manage Integrated Master Schedules.
- Organized, flexible, with strong interpersonal skills; able to take initiative and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Previous proposal or Basis‑of‑Estimates writing or reviewing experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues.

The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from a standard 40‑hour week to condensed schedules that provide additional time away from the office.
This position requires a government security clearance and you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
