Lockheed Martin Space, Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program, is seeking a Senior Electrical Component Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO. You will lead and/or assist in the performance of Electrical Component (Parts) Engineering, development and execution of the program Electrical Electronic Electromechanical (EEE) Parts management plan. You will evaluate new technologies and work closely with survivability, designers, test and manufacturing engineers, agencies like DLA, Part Manufacturers and Test Labs.

You’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and innovative technology to survive in the harshest of environments and most critical strategic  this role you will:

Participate in Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test.

Participate in the selection, qualification, test and failure analysis of EEE Parts.

Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports

Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization.

Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors.

Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements.

Basic Qualifications Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors

Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and/or processes used in EEE parts

Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams

Willingness/ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required

Desired Skills Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related technical field

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics or related field of study
