Thorcon Shotcrete and Shoring is a reputable Colorado-based Geotechnical Contractor specializing in slope stabilization and design‑build projects, including Micro‑Piles, Shotcrete/Gunite, Rock Bolts, and Ground Anchors on DOT, federal, heavy civil, commercial, and residential projects. Established in 2014, our rapid growth has expanded our footprint to six states.
Primary Functions- Work with Senior Management and Senior Project Manager in a professional manner.
- Manage and track a project's budgets, schedule, and change orders, making adjustments as needed to maintain costs.
- Generate and review submittals required for projects, including any re‑submittal corrections.
- Review plans and specifications to determine project needs and help Field Staff understand requirements.
- Assist Materials & Equipment Managers in generating purchase orders from estimates and quotes.
- Maintain project documentation and files in a timely and organized fashion.
- Compile or oversee the assembly of project binders for Superintendents and Foremen, ensuring they have the necessary information.
- Update project schedules with Superintendents as required by GC/Owners.
- Update progress quantities weekly to provide timely and accurate job cost reports and accurate monthly over/under billings.
- Mentor and train personnel to help them advance toward company goals, including Foremen, Superintendents, JRs, and PMs.
- Work with Thorcon team to generate change orders and estimate budget costs with Estimators.
- Coordinate with office personnel to process change orders into the Accounting System.
- Coordinate with field personnel to deliver designs/plans to the field promptly.
- Communicate project requirements and specifications to Superintendents.
- Attend weekly project progress meetings and lead them when necessary.
- Plan and schedule Proof and/or Verification Tests as required by the Engineer of Records.
- Close out projects and ensure all required documentation and forms are submitted for timely closeout.
- Order and track locates and permits related to the project.
- Foster and/or maintain relationships with customers and clients.
- Proven working experience as a project manager or superintendent.
- Geotechnical, civil and field experience preferred.
- Excellent computer, written, and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Advanced MS Office, Assignar, and Spectrum.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
- Experience dealing with Governmental, DOT, and Federal project requirements.
- Knowledge of key trade subcontractors in Colorado is a big plus.

- Understand and follow all company policies.
- Must pass a drug test.
The Project Manager position offers a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000, plus a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 3.5% matching 401(k) retirement plan.
