Responsible for providing appropriate and timely care to sick and/or injured students; creating, updating, and managing immunization records and related student records; contacting parents as needed; administering and documenting medications provided to students; maintaining clinic inventory; monitor and support implementation of Health Care Action Plans.

• Create immunization records in the District’s student information database and update and follow-up with non-compliant students.
• Provide appropriate and timely care to sick and/or injured students.
• Monitor and support implementation of Health Care Action Plans.
• Document on the clinic register all students who visit and leave the clinic.
• Contact parents/emergency contacts as needed to arrange for student pick-up if necessary.
• Administer and document medications to students.
• Input data into the District’s student information database regarding students who leave the school sick.
• Compile and update medications consent forms and send to area nurse.
• Maintain adequate supplies in clinic; order supplies as needed.
• Count controlled medications.
• Produce mailing to parents of students not in compliance with immunizations.
• Coordinate and schedule immunization clinics.
• Verify that each student in school has emergency card and media release card.

Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required; experience in CPR/First Aid and working with students preferred.

• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required.
• Medication and universal precautions training/certifications required.

Grade 4 starting salary $19.41
