Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.

Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing customer's merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.

Handle seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.

Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or issues.

Adhere to food safety regulations, inspect equipment, and report repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and follow all laws and company guidelines.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, act with honesty, follow directions, and support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Customer Service skills
Effective communication skills

Retail experience preferred but not required
