THORCON is a reputable Colorado-based Geotechnical Contractor that specializes in slope stabilization and design-build projects including Micro-Piles, Shotcrete/Gunite, Rock Bolts & Ground Anchors on DOT, Federal, Heavy Civil, Commercial and Residential projects.

We are looking for Laborers to perform physical tasks such as cleaning, removing debris, loading and unloading materials, assembling and disassembling temporary structures, digging trenches, compacting earth, following direction from supervisors and assisting skilled craftspeople. The job varies day to day and involves tool use, lifting, carrying and managing equipment and machinery to support the skilled craftspeople on‑site.

Each Laborer reports to all of the following:
Foreman, Superintendent, and General Superintendent.

• Clean-up and removing debris
• Shoveling, moving materials
• Dragging shotcrete & grout hoses
• Installing reinforcing steel
• Mixing grout
• Loading & unloading materials
• Additional tasks as required

• On-the-job training
• Learn specialty skills such as:
  • Grouting
  • Drilling Chuck Tending
  • Equipment operation
  • Drill operation
    
    Shotcrete application
  • Rebar & reinforcement install
  • Reading plans & Blueprints
• Promotion & career pathways

• Must be on time to work
• Reliably get to and from the jobsite
• Understand and follow directions from site supervisor
• Problem‑solve on the spot
• Lift 100lbs
• Work on your feet for a full shift, day after day
• Travel 30% of the time
• Follow all company policies
• Pass a drug test
• Valid Driver’s License (a plus)
• High school diploma (preferred)
• Well‑organized with multitasking abilities
• Experience in construction and geotechnical construction (a plus)

Thorcon pays a competitive wage, which depends on experience. The Laborer position starts at $20.00 per hour. Thorcon offers growth potential with defined raises as the Laborer’s skill set increases over time.
