Role Description The Marine Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Littleton, CO. This role involves performing routine maintenance and diagnostics on a variety of boats, inspecting hulls, motors, and onboard systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, conducting repairs, and performing preventative maintenance according to manufacturer specifications. The Marine Technician will collaborate with service advisors and sales staff, communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and timelines, and maintain accurate service records.
The role also requires keeping the workshop organized, following safety standards, and staying current with new marine technologies and product updates.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of boats and marine systems, including experience working with recreational and performance vessels.
- Demonstrated skills in maintenance and repair of marine equipment, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Hands-on experience with motors, including inboard and outboard engines, and familiarity with manufacturer service procedures.
- Ability to work with electrical wiring and marine electrical systems, including troubleshooting and safe installation practices.
- Prior exposure to marine, navy, or related technical environments is beneficial.
- Relevant technical certification or vocational training in marine technology, automotive, or mechanical fields preferred.
- Ability to read service manuals, use diagnostic tools, and follow detailed technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, safety-focused work habits, and reliable time management.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and customer base.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in varying weather conditions as required in a marine service environment.
