THE WORKDevelops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products.

Performs verification and validation of test equipment including hardware in the loop systems.

Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.

Designs and implements software development and maintenance processes.

Defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems/software processes.

Designs, specifies and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification and validation.

Evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and/or process requirements.

Reviews include requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.

Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Knowledge of quality systems/processes and expertise in external quality standards
• Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements
• Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Desired Skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and resolve technical issues with multiple teams, suppliers, and customers

Background in a STEM discipline (e.g., engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field).Knowledge of software development life cycle models

Knowledge of configuration management and control tools

Technical experience in a related discipline (e.g., Quality Engineering, System Safety, Engineering, Integration & Test)
Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development

Experience with Clear Quest, DOORS, Version One (Agility), and/or other Configuration Management tools

Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)

Experience with code collaborator tools

Experience in test planning, processing, and nonconformance processing, including root cause analysis and corrective action development

Experience in establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement

Experience with US Military customers and/or other government customer support organizations
