Building Inspector

Suwannee County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for the following:

This full-time skilled technical position with the Building Department will perform a variety of assignments related to inspection and enforcement of building codes. Work is generally diversified and requires judgements to apply broader aspects of established practices and procedures. Problems and situations encountered may not always fall clearly or concisely within the limitations of standard practices or precedents.

Minimum education equivalent to high school diploma or GED equivalent, must possess a valid State of Florida Residential Inspector certificate pursuant to Section 468.609 F.S. and a valid Florida Driver’s License. Salary minimum is $21.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience, plus a generous benefits package.
