Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for a growing construction organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining financial records, assisting with job cost accounting, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close. The ideal candidate has accounting experience within the construction industry and understands project-based financial processes. Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger transactions. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain and analyze job cost records for multiple construction projects. Review project expenses and help ensure costs are coded accurately. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Track subcontractor payments, lien waivers, and vendor documentation.

Assist with payroll entries and labor cost allocations. Prepare financial reports and support budget-to-actual analysis. Help ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and construction contract requirements. Please apply today or call Dennis Brinkmann at  for more information.
