This is a journey-level classification. Incumbents independently provide administrative support for a department head, requiring knowledge of both departmental processes, activities and procedures, and the manager's approach to specific issues.
Day-to-day activities require the use of significant initiative, judgment and discretion, particularly when prioritizing work from several sources or when dealing with agency departments and managers, County staff, other agencies, and/or the public.
Minimum Qualifications- The equivalent of two years of full-time experience in responsible clerical work which has provided the required knowledge and abilities.
- Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
- A typing certificate showing a minimum speed of 40 net words per minute must be submitted with your application and dated within six (6) months of the date your application is received. Please refer to the job bulletin for further details.
