Senior Estimator

This opportunity is offered in the Livermore, CA area.

• Salary $140,000 to $180,000 DOE

• B.S. in engineering or equivalent or has five years progressive experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Competent estimating Underground Wet Utilities, Storm, Sewer, Water projects.
• Proficient with computing costs, calculating figures and amounts that include interest and percentages.
• Negotiated project experience, including technical writing skills.

• Able to perform all essential Senior Estimator job responsibilities.
• Estimate and establish budgets and contract price.
• Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases.
• Insurances, permits, submittals, RFI’s, USA, staking requests.
• Shop drawing approval and material delivery.
• Maintain the project schedule and budget.
• Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable.
• Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and procedures.
• Develop strong working relationships with clientele and contractors.
