DPP Tech – A/V Technician (Livermore, CA)

We are hiring an A/V Technician for our Government client in Livermore, CA. This is an onsite position; the candidate must be in office 5 days/week. US Citizens only.

• Perform installation and configuration tasks utilizing equipment, including but not limited to, Control Systems, Digital Signal Processors (DSP), Matrix Switchers, Video Teleconferencing Systems, and other commercial A/V equipment.
• Commission new installs and provide field engineering support by loading and testing code/configurations and controls for A/V, VTC, and DSP systems.
• Read, interpret, and edit A/V design drawings and electronic schematics.
• Perform tasks with the use of hand tools, power tools, and other common A/V industry tools.
• Make programming changes under direction of lead programmer.

• Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video and control.
• Experience configuring A/V equipment from vendors such as AMX, Extron, Cisco, Clear One, Crestron, etc.
• Experience configuring, loading, and testing code/configurations for control of A/V, VTC, and DSP systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing A/V equipment.
• Ability to read and follow schematics, sketches, drawings, specifications, and procedures, in ways commonly represented in the A/V industry.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools, climb ladders, and lift up to 75 pounds (pre-employment medical exam will be required).
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with customers and team members with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
