Position Overview

The Vendor Management Administrator (VMA) manages the end‑to‑End vendor onboarding cycle assigned by the Vendor Program Manager. Key duties include determining inherent vendor risk, establishing appropriate controls, facilitating control risk assessments, applying results to compute residual risk, and revisiting existing risks in accordance with inherent‑risk levels. The VMA also provides periodic vendor compliance reviews, flags contract expirations, discusses findings with business units, garners risk approvals and authority sign‑offs for compliant and non‑compliant vendors, and applies regulatory guidelines and bank policies on third‑party risk management.

and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with vendors and business units to gather due‑diligence documents and coordinate risk‑review sessions with the bank’s subject‑matter experts.
  • Identify critical issues and forward them to the Vendor Program Manager.
  • Offer technical and end‑user support, including training for the vendor‑management program.
  • Maintain alerts and notifications in the Vendor Management mailbox, pursue outstanding items and close them in the vendor‑management software.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 1+ year experience in third‑party risk management.
  • 1+ year experience reviewing contracts and identifying key terms.
  • Preferred: 1+ year experience in Vendor Management.
  • Solid knowledge of related IT controls and auditing practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills—teamwork, facilitation, negotiation.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and global‑thinking abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Leadership skills and ability to foster partnerships.
Physical Requirements
  • Repetitive tasks: typing, numeric entries, prolonged computer use.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
