Sr. CNC Machinist

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment including 5-axis mills, mill-turns, vertical and horizontal machining centers
  .
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles accurately.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to perform in-process and final inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot setup and machining issues independently and make necessary adjustments to optimize production.
• Follow and document machining processes, including setup sheets, tooling lists, and job travelers.
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with programmers and engineers to improve machining processes and tooling strategies.
• Lead by example and provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior machinists.

• Minimum of 10 years' CNC machine setup experience
  , including complex multi-axis machining.
• Proven expertise in 5-axis machining and setup (mill and/or mill-turn).
• Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding G-code, M-code
  , and machining strategies.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and its application in production environments.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Haas, Makino, Hermle, and Nakamura machine tools.
• Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, and Haas CNC controllers.
• Experience with Mastercam or other CAD/CAM software (programming experience is a plus).
• Background in high-mix, low-volume, or precision industries such as aerospace, medical device, or mold making is highly desirable.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $32.6 – $55.43 hourly. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
