The QC Lab Technician will provide quality support to production lines by performing in-process, bulk, and finished product inspections to ensure compliance with GMP, specifications, and company standards.

Location: Livermore, CA

Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

Pay Rate: $21–$25 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday; 7AM - 3:30PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control tests and inspections during the production process, including pH, specific gravity, viscosity, and sensory testing.
  • Record and maintain data such as lot numbers, test results, and physical observations accurately.
  • Calibrate equipment and maintain detailed calibration records.
  • Conduct line clearances to verify removal of previous products and materials before new production runs.
  • Perform first article, first pallet, and random sampling inspections on finished goods.
  • Stop production lines when major non-conformances are identified; report findings to QC management.
  • Inspect and verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and approve labels and batch documentation for accuracy.
  • Collect retain samples and manage retain sample documentation.
  • Maintain temperature and moisture monitoring logs and daily QC reports.
  • Follow SOPs and cGMP procedures, supporting continuous improvement and compliance initiatives.
  • Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned by the QC Manager or Senior QC Specialist.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Or an Associate’s degree (Biology, Chemistry, or related engineering) with up to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a quality control, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of GMP and manufacturing safety standards.
  • Strong math and computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented production environment.
