Job Purpose
Produce construction projects in accordance with instructions from supervisor.
Reports To- Foreman / Superintendent
- Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, rebuilds, constructs, and maintains woodwork and other related structures.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of carpentry concepts, practices, and procedures within the carpentry field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Familiar with tools, materials and supplies required to complete tasks.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Directs and leads the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Requires standard communication skills (written / verbal / reading).
- Able to lift and hold / move 100 pounds.
- Must be able to solve advanced math principals to produce sufficient problem solving for carpentry.
- Able to traverse ladders (up and down including extension ladder), scaffolding and roofs.
- Must adhere to safety guidelines.
- May be responsible for all pricing and ordering of materials.
- Must be able to read plans and specs.

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret advanced construction documents. Ability to respond to inquires or complaints from supervisors.
- Ability to work with advanced mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with project plans, specifications, construction industry standards and building codes. Experience using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
