Job Description:

The Cross Country Coach will be responsible for organizing and supervising a total sports program, including previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport and substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
• Upgrade knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc.
• Maintain discipline, adjust grievances, and work to increase morale and cooperation.

Requirements:

• Has a thorough knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the LVJUSD and is responsible for their implementation.
• Has knowledge of existing system, state, and league regulations and implements them consistently.
• Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels.
