This position will be based full-time in office, 5 days a week. Role The Senior Accountant for this established architecture practice based in Central London, will report into the Finance Manager and take ownership of project-led accounting, for major international developments, and financial reporting responsibilities. Working closely with project managers and senior stakeholders, key duties will include:
Lead project accounting for large-scale international projects. Manage accounts receivable, billing, and debtor balances. Maintain fee forecasts and percentage-of-completion (POC) reporting. Manage budgets and forecasts, providing key analysis. Partner with project managers, attending regular meetings and producing finance reports. Maintain project and contract data within the project accounting system. Review reimbursable and travel costs to ensure accurate client recharge. Prepare intercompany invoices and support transfer pricing requirements.
Assist with year-on-year variance analysis on trial balance accounts. Own month-end close, cash reporting, and wider finance team activities. Profile The ideal candidate for this Senior Accountant position, should have the following attributes:
Newly Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) or Finalist level Accountant Strong practical experience in industry taking ownership of financial reporting & month-end processes. Architecture background (or similar project background) would be highly advantageous Confident with the use of Excel Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with multiple currencies / international entities. Salary & Benefits £55,000 to £65,000 plus benefits:
