Assistant Accountant

SF are excited to be partnering exclusively with a Manufacturing business based in Swadlincote who have a new role as an Assistant Accountant on a full time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work in a growing business and where they can develop themself further.

Salary up to £32,000

Potential for hybrid working after training (Couple of days at home)

25 holidays + bank holidays (This will increase with length of service)

Hours:

8am - 4:30pm Mon to Thurs, 8am - 1:30pm Fri

• Manage Purchase Ledger system - ensuring invoices are correctly, matched, coded and followed up as necessary
• Process Sales Invoices
• Credit Control
• Payments and check cashflow daily
• Accruals and Prepayments
• Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Assist with preparing the Accounts
• Assist with preparing VAT Returns
• Involved in Audits

• Must be experienced and able to use their initiative without much training
• Experience in Purchase and Sales Ledger duties, will train on the Accounts part
• Team player
• Excellent attention to detail
