Are you a recent Finance, Accounting or Business graduate looking to begin your career in accountancy?
Our client, a well-established and respected accountancy practice, in Liverpool is looking to recruit a motivated Finance Graduate to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while receiving full support towards achieving your Chartered Accountancy qualification.
Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients, from sole traders and owner-managed businesses through to multi-million-pound organisations across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, consultancy, healthcare, property and construction, automotive, and many more.
The Role
You'll receive structured training and mentoring while developing practical accounting skills, including:
* Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts under FRS 105 and FRS 102 1A.
* Bookkeeping using a range of cloud accounting software.
* Visiting clients both on-site and virtually to support their accounting requirements.
* Working alongside the Audit and Tax teams to gain exposure to direct and indirect taxation.
* Learning about VAT and CIS requirements for small and medium-sized businesses.
* Supporting senior team members with a variety of client assignments and advisory work.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* A recent graduate in Accounting, Finance or a related degree.
* Keen to study towards a Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACA or equivalent).
* Numerate with excellent analytical skills.
* A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Organised with excellent attention to detail.
* Proactive and eager to learn.
* Competent using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
