Audit Manager

A well-established and growing practice in Liverpool is looking to appoint an Audit Manager to join their team.

This is a great fit for someone who's technically strong, commercially switched-on, and keen to build client relationships and get properly involved in growing the business.

• Running audit engagements end-to-end, from planning through to sign-off
• Acting as the day-to-day contact for a varied client portfolio — SMEs, owner-managed businesses, professional practices, and not-for-profits
• Managing a team of four directly
• Getting stuck into business development: supporting pitches and tenders, spotting opportunities within the existing client base, and building your commercial profile within the firm
• Picking up non-audit project work as it arises — due diligence assignments, technical accounting queries, general problem-solving
• Supporting the firm's Audit Quality Control processes

• ACA or ACCA qualified, already operating at Audit Manager level
• Strong working knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
• General practice background
• Track record of juggling multiple audits and deadlines at once
• A genuine focus on quality and attention to detail
• Exposure to SRA Accounts Rules Reviews is a bonus, not essential
