Finance Manager – Account-to-Report & Consolidation About the Role

This is a senior finance leadership opportunity overseeing reporting accuracy and compliance for a global network of legal entities. You'll run the Account-to-Report team and share responsibility for group consolidation, working closely with Tax, Treasury, Group Reporting and external auditors to keep reporting on time, on standard and audit-ready.

The role also sits at the heart of several major change programmes reshaping how finance operates — including a systems migration to SAP, a shift away from the current consolidation platform, and the rollout of a new planning tool over the next two years.

• Jointly manage consolidation for the entity group, keeping reporting aligned with IFRS and internal group standards across the relevant finance platforms
• Investigate and clear discrepancies between balance sheet and cash flow consolidation outputs
• Take ownership of the close cycle — monthly, quarterly and annual
• Guarantee that everything submitted upstream to Group Reporting is complete and correct
• Contribute to balance sheet planning, keeping figures aligned across systems
• Play an active part in the finance transformation agenda, including system migrations and platform changes

• Run the process for drafting, checking and filing statutory accounts
• Weigh in on judgement calls around impairments, provisions and other technical accounting questions
• Keep reporting in step with local regulation and shifting accounting standards
• Manage and develop a team of accountants, building a culture geared toward improvement
• Handle appraisals, goal-setting, succession planning and development conversations for your direct reports; support wider team members too
• Champion new tools and automation to modernise how the team works
• Plan resourcing so deadlines for reporting, audits and projects are consistently met

• Serve as the finance function's main point of contact for Tax, Treasury, Group Reporting and Shared Services
• Translate consolidation and reporting complexity into clear guidance for decision-makers
• Build the kind of relationships, internally and externally, that keep audits and compliance moving smoothly

• Keep the control environment around reporting and consolidation strong, fixing gaps as they're identified
• Uphold group accounting policy, IFRS standards and control frameworks throughout

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or similar)
• Strong experience in financial accounting, consolidation, statutory reporting or audit
• Experience of managing finance teams and navigating senior stakeholder relationships
• Familiarity with consolidation software — SAP or Hyperion/HFM background a plus
