Purchasing Coordinator - £31'130 - South Liverpool - Permanent - Full Time

Due to an internal promotion, this successful and well established manufacturing organisation are seeking an experience Purchase Coordinator to join their dynamic, friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials, accurate inventory management and smooth coordination between suppliers, planning and internal operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Purchasing Support

* Support the preparation and processing of purchase orders in line with company policies and procedures.

* Liaise with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules, order confirmations, and the resolution of discrepancies.

* Monitor purchase orders and proactively follow up on late or incomplete deliveries.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records and purchasing documentation.

2. Planning & Inventory Support

* Assist with material requirements planning.

* Monitor inventory levels to minimise shortages and avoid excess stock.

* Maintain and update planning systems with forecasts, lead times, and inventory data.

* Support production and sales planning by providing accurate material availability information.

* Assist with stock counts, reconciliations, and inventory reporting.

3. Coordination & Administration

* Work closely with internal teams including production, warehouse, finance, and sales.

* Prepare and maintain reports on purchasing activity, inventory levels, and supplier performance.

* Ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping within ERP and inventory management systems.

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and planning processes.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within a purchasing, planning or supply chain support function, be proficient in MS Office packages, particularly Excel, have strong organisational and time management skills, along with high attention to detail.
