Position: Receptionist / Administrator

Fountains Medical Practice is looking for a Receptionist / Administrator to join our friendly and forward thinking team.

We are looking for a hard working, friendly and enthusiastic person to join our established and friendly team.

Fountains Medical Practice is situated within the Fountains Health building in the heart of Chester City.

Main duties of the job

The main duties include;

  • answering the telephone
  • dealing with patient queries
  • processing prescriptions
  • scanning & read coding
  • patient registrations
  • being the first point of contact to our patients
  • booking appointments
About us

Fountains Medical Practice is situated within the Fountains Health building within the heart of Chester City.

Its has a patient list size of 4650 and looks after all the Care Homes across the City.

Job responsibilities

Job Summary

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties.

  • Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
  • Process personal, telephone and e-consultations for appointments
  • Answering incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers
  • Process prescription requests
  • Signpost patients to the correct services
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Data entry of patient information
  • Scanning of patient documentation
  • Monitor and maintain the reception area and noticeboard
  • Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.
Person Specification Qualifications
  • Ability to follow policy and procedure
  • Experience of using EMIS Web
