Job Title: Administrator
Location: Hazel Cottage School, Fazakerley, Liverpool L10 1LD
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £22,500 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Start: September 2026
About the RoleHazel Cottage School is entering an exciting phase of growth with the opening of our second site, and we are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and compassionate Administrator to join our dedicated team. As one of the first people pupils, families, visitors and professionals will meet, you will help create a warm, welcoming and professional environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
Working across our specialist SEND provision, you will play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school so that our staff can focus on what matters most – helping children and young people thrive.
- Providing efficient, confidential and high‑quality administrative support across the school.
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, carers and professionals, delivering a friendly and professional reception service.
- Managing telephone and email enquiries and directing them appropriately.
- Maintaining accurate pupil and staff records, ensuring all documentation is secure and up to date.
- Supporting attendance, admissions and general school administration processes.
- Assisting with the organisation of meetings, events, training and school communications.
- Supporting finance and purchasing processes, including invoices and ordering supplies where required.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the school remains organised, compliant and focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for pupils.
- Friendly, professional and passionate about providing excellent support and customer service.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, databases and school administration systems.
- A supportive team player who builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Proactive, adaptable and able to use initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
- Discreet and trustworthy, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities.
