Overview

To undertake Clerical duties within the office area and duties to ensure the needs of the service are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with clerical support in the day to day running of the office area to ensure Service provision is met.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems, case notes and other relevant documentation.
  • Deal with enquiries from staff and members of the public in person and by telephone as appropriate.
  • Assist with photocopying duties as necessary.
  • Receive goods deliveries to the Service, signing appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain administration and storage of data in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the Office / Reception / Waiting area, ensuring areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Open and close the buildings/service area as required.
  • Order stock as required.
  • Provide cover for and undertake duties of absent colleagues as necessary.
  • Follow all policies and procedures of the organisation.
Qualifications
  • Computer / typing skills RSA2/equivalent
  • GCSE/Equivalent, Essential criteria
  • Experience of dealing with confidential matters
  • Experience of working in a busy office; understanding of issues around confidentiality; excellent organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent Customer Care Skills
  • Desirable:
    Ability to use Word / Excel; flexible/adaptive approach to change

The post holder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their duties. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and a Disclosure check (DBS) will be required.
