Randstad Education, Liverpool are looking for an experienced Headteachers PA for a role within a Sefton secondary school.

A Headteacher's PA (Personal Assistant) provides high-level, confidential administrative and organisational support to enable the headteacher to operate strategically. The role acts as a primary point of contact for the school and involves complex diary management, stakeholder communication, minute-taking, and compliance management.

Typical duties and requirements include:

Core Responsibilities
  • Diary & Calendar Management:
    Actively manage complex scheduling, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel itineraries for the headteacher.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Serve as the first point of contact for parents, staff, governors, and external agencies (such as Ofsted), fielding inquiries and prioritising urgent matters.
  • Meeting & Event Coordination:
    Prepare agendas, organise hospitality, and take formal minutes during Senior Leadership Team (SLT) or governing body meetings.
  • Confidentiality:
    Handle highly sensitive school, staff, and student data with absolute discretion and in line with GDPR guidelines.
  • Reporting & Compliance:
    Assist in compiling data, preparing briefing papers, and producing documentation for inspections and statutory returns.
  • Administrative Support:
    Draft and proofread correspondence, oversee the maintenance of databases, and manage office supplies.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience:

    Previous experience as a PA, executive assistant, or in a senior administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • IT Literacy:
    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and the ability to navigate school databases.
  • Organisational

    Skills:

    Outstanding time-management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and adapt to changing circumstances under pressure.
  • Communication:
    Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
