If you're organised, confident with emails, and enjoy making things run smoothly behind the scenes, this temporary administrative role is a great opportunity to contribute to day-to-day operations with a reputable Government client. You'll be working under general supervision, following clear procedures, while using your judgement to resolve routine issues and support operational needs.
What you'll be doing:- Monitor and respond to emails in the team inbox throughout the day, ensuring enquiries are handled in line with policy
- Support travel and booking-related queries, including air, hotel, rail and hire car bookings-providing advice and lifting booking restrictions when required
- Deal with complaints and day-to-day issues effectively and professionally
- Oversee administrative processes and procedures to ensure they're followed accurately
- Manage insurance and accident management claims in line with policy requirements
- Act as an administrative liaison with internal and/or external contacts
- Prepare routine correspondence and produce fortnightly consolidated travel invoices
- A careful, process-driven approach, with confidence to apply instructions and exercise some independent judgement under general supervision
- Strong communication skills-clear and professional in both writing and conversation
- Solid administrative experience and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- The ability to stay calm and responsive when handling enquiries and complaints
- You'll need to meet the education/experience criteria below to be considered:
- Five GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English Language or equivalent)
- NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience)
