Job Description & How to Apply Below

If you're organised, calm under pressure, and motivated by work that makes a genuine difference, this is a role where your admin skills directly support people and communities. Our Client is looking for a dedicated team member to provide efficient administrative support-helping keep people on probation and victims properly supported through accurate, timely processes.

What you'll be doing:
  • Setting up and maintaining accurate people-on-probation and victim information on approved databases
  • Supporting referrals and improving relationships between offender management, victims, interventions, service providers and external agencies
  • Preparing, maintaining and collating case records, files and management information to required standards
  • Receiving and distributing information and communications via telephone, paper and email
  • Providing cover for reception and handling telephone enquiries efficiently
  • Acting as a single point of contact within the unit for specialist area work as required
  • Making practical arrangements for the implementation of the Sentence Plan (appointments, directions, etc.)
  • Supporting enforcement administration when needed, including issuing travel-related vouchers/warrants and keeping appropriate records
  • Organising equipment, materials and facilities for case-related activity, and reporting faulty items for repair/replacement
  • Supporting meetings as required (agenda, notes/minutes and action points)
  • Carrying out safeguarding children duties in line with statutory responsibilities and agency policies
  • Working to Health and Safety policies, including undertaking equipment tests where required
What you'll bring:
  • Ability to use databases and strong keyboard/IT skills, including Word and basic Excel
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills to liaise with a wide range of individuals
  • Strong attention to detail to keep records accurate and up to date within specified timescales
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, with a steady, reliable approach
  • Confidence and empathy when dealing with people who may be in crisis, distressed, or display inappropriate/aggressive behaviour-seeking the right support in line with office procedures
  • A commitment to equality and inclusion, and an understanding of how it applies to day-to-day work
  • A pro-social mindset-reinforcing positive behaviour and attitudes, and challenging anti-social behaviour and attitudes
Additional information:
  • This role may involve some out-of-hours work.
  • You'll handle sensitive and confidential information, so discretion and adherence to policy are essential.
  • All candidates are subject to security and identity checks, along with client vetting prior to taking up post.
